Killing Our Men Of Color! WHY ALWAYS A KILL SHOT?

I come from a long line of police officers, in my family. Brothers, cousins, uncles and friends. Over the course of 40 years, I have seen all kinds of COPS..There are good cops, bad cops, concerned cops, pompous cops, dangerous cops, kind-hearted cops and cops who were meant to do one thing...be a cop.The ones who are not qualified to be there or have issues with other races, creeds or colors, should be sent out the door.

Over the years, it has become blatantly apparent that the cops of today's world, are on a serious POWER TRIP. So many, are no longer concerned with doing what is good for the public. They are only concerned about catching a bad guy or perceived bad buy and getting big kudos for it. They are armed like we live in a military state and they treat every single person like they robbed the bank.

Traffic stops, friendly warnings and minor infractions have turned into killings. From shootings to choking to kicking people in the head, the cops are more violent than most of the criminals they are trying to arrest.

We start with Michael Brown, noting that supposedly, he committed a minor crime, before being shot. But shoplifting isn't a Death Penalty Case. From Michael, we had multiple police involved shootings. The latest...Walter Scott. Across the country cops have turned into the enemy. People of color or people who may have had a run in with the criminal justice system have ended up on autopsy tables for reasons that nobody understands.

So it seems now is the time for the entire country to be evaluating their law enforcement people, in their local areas. Since 9-11 cops have become weapons of mass destruction. They have been GIVEN armored vehicles, military weapons and military clothing and gear. They train countless hours in shooting and capturing dangerous criminals. They are on the shooting range hours and hours perfecting the "KILL SHOT"...But for WHAT? To SHOOT Americans?

If they have all of the training necessary, to contain the world, you would think they acquired that from the military...but the military is having trouble defeating anybody...so it would sound like a failed process, from the get go. If you are highly skilled and highly trained, shouldn't they be able to shoot someone in the leg instead of it always being a "KILL SHOT"?  They are not trained to shoot in the leg or the thigh...Every practice range you see is set for the kill. They consistently AIM for the head or the heart. If you watch video of Walter Scott being shot, the police officer took the stance and aimed just like he would on the gun range. KILL SHOT....

So, with the racism, the fear, the anger and the unmistakable knowledge that it is intentional, we have to assume that we are at war with something that fighting back won't fix. Violence won't change the problem...It will only increase the chances of more people dying. So is there an answer? I am not sure. Everybody in law enforcement has a different idea on how to calm the public fears about their departments.

I know the fear that is generated by racism, is something that has many requirements to be solved. First, law enforcement needs to evaluate and educate it officers about current day facts. 1. Just because you are black, doesn't mean you are capable of or want to commit a crime. 2.Just because you may have had a previous encounter with law enforcement or the criminal justice system, doesn't mean you are potentially violent or will try to harm a police officer. 3. If you got the damn gun and stun gun...what the hell are you scared of?

I think they have become so paranoid that everybody is going to try and hurt them, they just shoot before trying to do anything else. And the race thing just blows my mind..that is a whole different article.

Another component of changing things is unity. Unity, in both black and white and other cultures to educate the police on who we all are. I truly don't think the black folks I know, just woke up one day and said..I don't trust the police from this day forward. This has been a long, long road and fear has been instilled in them from many years ago. From beatings and shootings and every other kind of human atrocities we can name. I think they are pretty damn justified in the way they feel. However, the thug mentality and persona won't make it better or change anyone's thinking.

For things to change, everybody, all groups, have to repair and reeducate the youth and everyone in between to be proud and to be well educated and to be so good, they can't ignore you. Be willing to NEVER settle for less than doing their best. But in the meantime, I think things being exposed and more average citizens taking videos, is a start on some justice.

America has been ignorant for so long, it is stuck in stupid. The White Man has ruled the American World for many, many, many years. He feels that HE is better, smarter, richer, more privileged and a host of other things. He has trained women and children to follow the same doctrine. Example..the Oklahoma fraternity...So until we are so diversified and have proven that the color of your skin has absolutely nothing to do with anything but colors..we are in for a long battle..A battle that has to be won with changes and education and strong support...not violence. Changes that have to begin with Congress and Elected Officials and go down to the man in the streets.

I pray to see changes, in my lifetime, with racism and with the state of law enforcement. My grandchildren are becoming teenagers and nearly all of obviously mixed with other races. I fear for my grandson's future and for my granddaughters well being. None of them are the stereotypical kids that police seem to be looking for but the cops don't know that...Again, they only see color....I pray for our country to stop with the damn "ME BETTER THAN YOU" mentality and to work to raise our children to be good people..not kids that have to worry if they are walking in the wrong place or if they don't look like they, are okay to be out of the house.

Let's work together and be the village that raised the kids, that changed the world. Let's all get involved instead of standing by and watching.Enough with killing our men of color. Enough with racists who feel they are Supreme Beings....YOUR behind smells bad..you snore...you are nasty...you make dumb decisions...you love your family..you work hard...WE ARE ALL THE SAME!! STOP THE MADNESS AND THE STUPID ASS BEHAVIOR! STOP IT! GROW UP!.. No matter the color of your skin or the amount of your bank account...EVERYBODY NEEDS TO HELP AND TO WORK TOGETHER...No Bystanders allowed...this affects everyone.
